With over two decades of experience as a speech pathologist, Dr Kylie Smith has worked across clinical, academic, and research settings in Australia and internationally. She has held roles in leading clinical and research settings focused on stuttering, including the Bankstown Stuttering Unit, Australian Stuttering Research Centre, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, and the University of Melbourne. She brings curiosity, care, and a strong clinical foundation to her work with individuals across the lifespan.

Kylie holds a Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT Australia) and has completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). These qualifications inform her holistic, client-centred approach to stuttering and communication support.

Alongside clinical practice, Kylie is committed to education and professional development. She has held academic and supervisory roles at several universities including the University of Melbourne, and has provided training in stuttering to speech pathologists in Australia and internationally, including France, Turkey and Lebanon.
