Stuttering Assessment
Adults

Assessments are available for adults who stutter, with the understanding that stuttering involves more than just speech behaviours. Each assessment is conducted with sensitivity to the broader emotional, social, and environmental factors that shape an individual’s experience. Whether someone is beginning therapy or returning after a break, the process is confidential, respectful, and tailored to their unique needs.

The assessment includes:

  • A discussion of the stuttering history, including patterns, variability, and its impact on daily life.

  • Exploration of broader effects on well-being, relationships, and participation.

  • Reflection on previous therapy experiences and current goals.

  • Consideration of the individual’s strengths, motivations, and challenges to guide future support.

Therapy options are tailored to the person’s lifestyle, goals, and priorities, with a written report and individualised recommendations provided.
